But the rubber was really stiff on the old versions of the Yeezy Slides and so you have to break them in a little bit because they weren’t really comfortable the first week that you wear them. However, the new restocked releases have more of a matte finish and they actually feel a bit more like it has a grainier texture to them in comparison to the OG releases.
In 2019, Adidas and Yeezy unveiled the much-anticipated Yeezy Slides, featuring colourways in Resin, Bone, and Desert Sand. Their distinctive monochrome aesthetic and exaggerated bulky design stirred quite a sensation, leading to an almost immediate sell-out. The continued demand for these slides has driven the release of several fresh colourways in the following three years. Original Yeezy slides have a wide, rounded opening near the toe box.
Similar to the Foam RNNR, the Yeezy Slide is constructed entirely out of EVA Foam, does not contain adidas’s BOOST technology, and has no visual branding. What the Yeezy Slide lacks in branding and extra frills, it makes up for in comfort. Its rigid sawtooth-like outsoles combined with its oversized foam construction not only make the Yeezy Slide instantly recognizable but also one of the most comfortable slides on the market. Like the adidas Adilette Slide, the Yeezy Slide does not come in half sizes but generally fits true to size.
